Why I created The ADV Exchange.
We’ve all been there. You buy the "perfect" Gore-Tex suit, only to realise six months later that you actually need a layering system. Fast forward a few years, and you have 6 jackets, 4 or 5 pairs of pants, and a garage that looks like a motorcycle dealership showroom. When I retired and started riding full-time, I finally nailed my setup. But selling the excess gear? That was a disaster. Scammers, low-ballers, and frustration.
That’s why I built The ADV Exchange. I wanted a safe space for riders like me, who treat gear curation as a serious part of the hobby. A place to trade premium kit without all the headache and the hassle.

In order to keep things relevant for our members, we will only be accepting gear less than 5 years old. Premium brand jackets, suits, pants, boots & helmets. This is not a flea market and we do not want to flood it with poor quality gear.

We charge 18% of the final sales price + a flat €20 that covers all shipping costs. That’s how we manage the site, pay the overheads and donate 10% of the profits to the Trans Euro Trail. We think that’s fair for a secure, white-glove service with free logistics.

Because The ADV Exchange is a rider-to-rider marketplace, we don't process traditional retail returns (our sellers aren't Amazon!). However, we know how tricky motorcycle gear sizing can be.
If you buy a jacket or pair of pants and the fit just isn't right, we have your back with our 0% Commission Relist Guarantee.

Let us know quickly: Email us within 7 days of your gear being delivered.
We do the work: We will completely clone the original listing, photos, and description, and put it live on your account. You don't have to write a thing.
Keep it clean: The gear must remain in the exact condition it arrived in (no test rides, tags still attached if applicable).
Get your money back: When the item sells to the next rider, we will manually rebate our entire 18% platform fee. You get 100% of your original item price back directly to your bank account (you only cover the cost of the new shipping label).
